OCTOBER!

Well, another summer has gone, hard to believe.
A lot has happened this summer, mostly work, but there have been a few personal developments worth mentioning. My partner and I moved in together. It's nice to come home after a long day and have someone there. I have rekindled an old friendship with someone I thought I lost. old friendships are kinda like old shoes, so comfortable and welcoming. Nice to have you back E. B.
I am working on my bucket list, and doing well I may say. My book is coming along, I guess I'm some where around the half way mark. But I have an editor now, and things are looking up.
The coffee shop I was interested in closed. Went belly up...
I have found a couple more that has drawn my interest. Just taking it slow, one step at a time.
Waiting for some more facts and numbers, then I'll go take a look at them. See what I like about them.
That's about all for now.
Happy Halloween!

This photo taken the day before one of my motorcycle tours.

We went to the NickleBack concert

israbox.com/uploads/posts/2008-11/1226382246_cover.jpg

We went to Albany, last week to see Nickelback.
Buckcherry and three Days Grace played also.
It was a pretty good show!
Loud, and a bit long, but I enjoyed myself.
I can now cross that off my bucket list, I may never have to go to a rock concert again!

More Book information

Well the book is coming along fine, a little slow but it's coming along.
I wish I had more time to work on it, but with work and being short staffed,  time is something I don't have a lot of.  I have an editor, and a very close friend, who has been a great advisor, giving me the encouragement I need, to keep going. As I said, it's a slow process but I am pleased with the results so far!
As for the coffee shop, well the information is flowing back and forth, and things are moving ahead, this is also a slow process, but in the end, I'm sure it will be worth the efforts.

Fall is arriving here in the Northeast, slowly the trees are giving up their leafs and showing some muted colors, the middle of next month should be promising for the leaf peepers. We are expecting some serious colors this year.
I had a touch of the flu this past week, but luckily it didn't hang around too long. I feel much better now.
Well that's all for now.
More as it happens

This is some rock art I photographed while out west.
This was taken just outside of Moab Utah

Book

I have this bucket list I'm working on. One of the things on my list is to write a book. A good Book!
I have been working on it for sometime now, and it's coming along nicely. In fact I have an editor now!
It's not compete yet, but it's getting there.
Another item on my bucket list: to own a coffee shop.
I'm working on the coffee shop also. I'll give more information on that as I get it.

Summer is over now, and the weather has begun to change, the mornings are getting a little cooler and days shorter. Soon I'll be skiing and snowshoeing!

Hiking

My partner and I have have been working on the Northville - Lake Placid hiking trail, since we both work during the week, we can only head out weekends. we did another section last weekend. we did the LONG LAKE section this past weekend. It was pretty awesome! The terrain was pretty easy, and the views spectacular. The swimming was good too. I'm off to work, will add more later...
Didn't bring camera on the trail, so this is the only Photo I have.

Added some more artwork

Added afew more drawings today. Drop me a not and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Just stuff

Well summer is underway and things are rolling along. The family reunions are coming up, we have two, the cousins, and the immediate family. I'm looking forward to both this year.
Still looking into the coffee shop. Its a great location and the perfect size for what I want.
Got in touch with an old friend, whom I've missed terribly...
Funny how friends get so close to your heart, when they are gone, it's like a peace of you you is missing, like your not complete anymore... But it's great to have him in my life again... Thanks Enoch!
Still working hard and doing lots of hours, and trying to fit the drawing in where I can. but life is pretty good now...
more later...
This is not such a good picture, but the drawing came out almost perfect!

Hot!

Now that the 4th is over and work is back into full swing, I am looking at some new avenues of interest. I have been selling my art work for sometime now, and it's doing quite well, although I always thought it was worth more then it's selling for, I really can't complain, it IS selling!
But I am looking at some new things that have had some interest to me in the past and keep coming back into my mind every now and again. A hot dog stand, for one. Yeah I know, sounds a bit crazy, but the hours are great and I hear the money is pretty good also. The other thing is a coffee shop, a really cool coffee shop with great coffee, comfortable couches and some cool music, great staff and free WI-FI, yeah that would be the cats meow...
I'm looking around for a hot dog stand now, maybe a coffee shop next year!
Stay cool...

My Motorcycle

I drive a 2009 BMW F800 GS duel sport motorcycle.

This Bike is awesome, but then I have had 3 Bemmers and they all were awesome, I'll post some pic's of them as soon as I can.

I took this bike on a 10 week tour of the U.S.A.

I had a great time! It's not my first time touring on motorcycle. I've been doing this for some time now. There is something about this type of travel that draws me back to it time and again. I guess if you have ever been fortunate to experience it, you would some idea of what I'm talking about. The photo above was taken in Utah, in a remote area of Canyon lands National Park. Canyon lands is one of my favorite places to ride, there is so many rock fascinating rock formations there, everywhere you look, there is something else! Nothing like the east coast.
This was taken in the Valley of the Gods, I stumbled on this incredible deserted road as I was heading towards Monument Valley. I stayed the night here. The moon was full, the stars lite the sky like I have only seen one other time, when I was sailing down the coast to Florida. It was cold that night, the temp dropped down to the lower 40's. I would have stayed several more nights if time had permitted, but there was so much to see and do in this area, I wanted to see it all!
You could be out there for years and still not see it all!
I tried to see as much as I could, in the time frame I had.
In the ten weeks I was out there exploring, I drove 10,000 miles! just a side note here, I have added up the mileage I have driven on my bemmers, so far 57,000 miles. If you count my old Kawasaki also, I'd be around 79,000 miles on bikes! Pretty good eh?

A Perfect Day

This was taken while on a motorcycle tour of the southwest in 2010. It's along the Apache Trail, one of the coolest roads you can travel!
